Don’t mistake these for gummies. Cannot swallow the outer “shell” of the pill
These came in a box sealed well but the majority of writing on it was in Chinese. I thought they were chewable but you cannot swallow the outer “shell”. When you bite it the oil bursts out and is orange flavor and doesn’t taste bad at all, but then you have to spit out the shell or skin of the pill. I think that is a bit confusing for kids so we will not purchase again. On the bright side though, it tastes pretty good and has DHA, vitamin A, D and E in it. Made in Taiwan.

We’ve been using the Kids Chewable Fish Oil with Omega 3 for a while now, and it’s been a positive experience overall. The 60 softgels support brain development and immunity as promised. While we do still get some fishy burps, they are much less noticeable compared to other brands we’ve tried. The chewable form makes it easy for my child to take, and the benefits are clear. If you’re looking for a fish oil supplement with a tolerable aftertaste and good health benefits, this one is worth trying.

These fish oil softgels are small, cute, and easy to swallow. These softgels help support brain learning and development. I like that they don’t smell bad or weird. They really don’t have much of any smell at all. These softgels are orange 🍊 flavored, but I can’t tell because I swallow them, and I don’t chew them. These softgels are small in size and smooth on the outside. Swallowing them isn’t difficult. These fish oil softgels are good quality dietary supplements made in Taiwan. These softgels are excellent, but pricey. These softgels are for kids, but adults can take them too. 😃

This is a review of “BHK’s Kids Chewable Fish Oil, Omega 3 with EPA & DHA for Children, Support Brain Development & Learning Function, Eye & Immunity Health, 60 softgels”I have to say right off the bat that these were a failure as far as I’m concerned. First off, excess packaging — the container containing the softgels came in another box with extra plastic wrapping. Then I notice that the softgels have tails which is a bit odd, but it did make me look at the instructions which instruct you that you have to chew before swallowing (chewable = must chew it, don’t swallow whole). I did as instructed which released the fish oil payload in my mouth, which honestly wasn’t as objectionable a flavor as expected — it’s a faint orange taste that’s really not very fishy, a pleasant surprise given what I was afraid of. However, the shell of the softgel remains in your mouth like a hard piece of plastic. I guess it would dissolve and you’re supposed to be able to swallow this casing too? I spat it out.Overall, this was just a little too strange for me, and not an improvement over normal fish oil supplements in any way. I think most kids would have an easier time of just swallowing a small size normal supplement as well.

It’s too bad that these fish oil supplements have such a hard outer shell. The little fish are so cute looking but once you pop one in your mouth you’ll experience the gushing of the fish oil (which tastes fine). But then you’re left chewing the outer shell which doesn’t dissolve right away. I just don’t trust this for my kids. Maybe if I could read the bottle then I would feel better about it???

I, an adult, acted as the guinea pig for these. First off they taste and smell a bit like an orange, which is probably good as most kids would likely prefer that to fish. The gel cap seemed pretty thick and slow to dissolve but since the directions said to not swallow them I waited patiently as it melted and that did take a while. I’m always a bit leary of packaging that has a sticker over the label but in this case it was to provide allergen information. As with any supplement it is advisable to seek the advice of your doctor or other practitioner before taking.
