This is a powerful & comprehensive vitamin B supplement. The one that I usually take provides from 150-200% DV for vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6, Folate, B12 and Pantothenic acid. It provides 1000% DV for Biotin. In comparison Best Naturals Vitamin B Complex provides the following DV: 8333% for B1, 7692% for B2, 625% for B3 (niacin), 5882% for B6, 167% for Folate, 4167% for B12, 333% for biotin, and 2000% for Pantothenic acid. Additionally, this B supplement provides 2% of the DV for choline and 10mg PABA and 100 mg Inositol. Note, currently no DV has been established for PABA and Inositol.Comparing the two, this B vitamin supplement has considerably more of every vitamin with the exceptions of Folate where the two products are the same, and Biotin where the B vitamin supplement I previously used is higher.Is this difference significant? Are additional benefits provided at higher doses? Are the higher dosages detrimental? Although there has been, and will continue to be, considerable debate regarding this, allopathic medicine generally considers high doses of water soluble vitamins (which includes the B vitamins) to be unnecessary and of no additional benefit. I like that its made in the US, and non-GMO with an impressive and pretty complete mixture of vitamins at fairly high levels. I feel it will be helpful while trying to follow a mainly vegetable diet through the summer while we have good fresh garden produce to lose some weight. Since it is free of most of the common allergens, they can be used by the family members with nut allergies , dairy, and gluten rather than having to buy different formulations. I haven’t noticed any negative effects and so far as I can tell, they are absorbed ok, so I am pleased with them. The price seems ok for the quantity.
