Licorice root powder as many uses, and has been used by many cultures and industries for generations. However, unless you are informed, and very familiar with the product, (quantity, duration, interactions, etc.) please be careful. There are real potential side effects, so exercise due diligence.One may question the merits of three stars for a great product, from a great company, but my experience (significant rise ln blood pressure) suggests, caution should be exercised. My BP is back to normal, I’m none the worse for wear, just a little older and wiser….hopefully.

Besides liking the taste the licorice root powder helps my Raynaud’s disease. I have used this product for a long time and love it. The only complaint I have is that I cannot make the seal on the package close after it is opened.

I purchased this because I’m using licorice as a viral inhibitor. Works best by using a tea strainer with fine mesh. One teaspoon powder steeped in hot water makes about 0.5 L of tea. Very good quality and much cheaper than using real licorice candy.
