I think I like this coffee, it’s a nice departure from my typical daily cup of dark roast. Mushroom flavor is pleasant and unusual. The 30-packet supply is convenient, and I love that it’s a dietary supplement as well.The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is the taste: it’s a bit earthier than I expected (which makes sense with mushrooms), and it took me a few days to get used to. Adding a splash of oat milk or a little cinnamon helps a lot. Overall, it’s nice having something like this on occasion.

Flavor a bit weak
This is pretty middle of the road for a mushroom coffee. I’ve tried a few different ones, and this seems just like many others. The product arrives as a plastic/foil baggie. The baggie is pretty easy to open and reseals well. Inside are the 30 individual packets which also are tightly sealed. The packets are a bit more difficult to open. They are still able to be opened without using scissors, but it takes a bit of effort to rip a corner off. The packets also seem to be made of a bi-layer plastic/foil. I made my first cup using about 9 oz of water, which feels a bit weak on flavor, texture, and strength of coffee. I think 6 ounces of water might make a better result. It mixes well without much effort and doesn’t leave behind any unmixed powder. The taste is like a lot of the generic brand mushroom coffess. It tastes like a weaker coffee with a hint of earthy flavor, though I wouldn’t necessarily say that it tastes like mushrooms. There is some sweetness, which I didn’t expect as there is no sweetener in the ingredients. It’s sweet enough for me that I don’t need to add anything else to drink it on its own. Unlike some other brands, there is no discernable bitterness. I don’t know if I notice any specific positive or negative effects from this product itself, but I have been taking reishi supplements for a while, so at worst this has just slidden in their place. Overall it’s just an inoffensive coffee with a mild taste. At its current $24 price, it’s about 80 cents per dose. I think that’s an ok value for something like this. I knock off a star because I think the flavor is too weak, so I end up having to use two packets at a time for a decent sized mug of coffee.
