Tasty protein powder for everyone, expensive!
I chose this BabyBlues vanilla whey protein powder because of the included prohydrolase to help in digestion. The mixability is quite easy; with a bit of stirring it fully dissolves and becomes nice and creamy in milk without any clumping. The taste is slightly on the sweeter side, and the flavor is a very smooth vanilla flavor. Despite the branding, this whey protein powder is safe for everyone to consume including males, as it is specifically fenugreek free and contains high quality ingredients. I am not a fan of Stevia sweetening and the Stevia flavor is clearly present as an aftertaste. At the time of this review, the price per serving is almost $5, for only 26g of protein, which makes it quite poor value for the money, which is really my only complaint.

vanilla protein powder with added enzymes for digestion
This protein powder has a lot of protein per serving and a good vanilla flavor. It also is a bit sour because it is milk protein after all. The texture is fairly sticky and it’s tough for me to mix. I fond mixing it with a mini electric mixer helps some but it still clumps a bit. I like that the contents are aimed at muscle strength and not fat gain. I have some issues with digesting diary products but this powder has digestive enzymes added in so it doesn’t upset my stomach!

Flavorless and mixes easy
I ordered this for my niece who just had a baby was trying to breast-feed for the first time and was very clearly having baby blues. I especially had this issue postpartum with May 1 and found one of the bigger things that helped me was increasing healthy protein proteins. This is an easy way to do that.This is tasteless, so it is easy to add to anything, and mixes easily. No issues with my suggestion from it and she said she can’t even tell when she’s included it in her soup smoothie or even mixes it into cream cheese for a morning bagel.This is quality, but it is hard to speak to the complex cities of the hormone in a postpartum woman. Her mood did improve, but would also expect that the further away from delivery and with increased family support and sleep.I do like that this has specific intention on quality because this is made for a lactating woman and would seek this out again over other cheaper powders because of that and it’s ease of mixing.

Decent taste, great that it’s fenugreek free
I’ll be honest, finding a protein powder I actually trusted while breastfeeding felt impossible. Everything either had fenugreek, which messed with my supply, or ingredients I had to Google three times to feel okay about. This one checked every box I was looking for.Twenty-six grams of whey protein isolate per serving is no joke. I was running on four hours of sleep and forgetting to eat actual meals, so having something quick, filling, and breastfeeding-safe felt like a lifeline. The sunflower lecithin is a nice touch too since it can help with clogged ducts, something no new mom wants to deal with.The vanilla flavor is genuinely good. Not that fake, overly sweet kind that makes you grimace. I mixed it with just milk most mornings and it tasted like something I actually wanted to drink, which matters a lot when you have approximately four minutes to eat breakfast.The fenugreek-free formula was the dealbreaker for me personally. My body does not get along with fenugreek and finding a lactation product that skips it without skimping on anything else felt like a small miracle.My only note is that the price is a little higher than a standard protein powder, but given that it’s formulated specifically for postpartum and nursing moms, I think it’s justified. NUTRITIONAL CONTENT + MOMSI decided to give this Protein powder a try for myself and see if my niece who is breastfeeding might like it. The reason it is recommended for lactating mothers is because they added proHydrolase which is a protein enzyme which helps the stomach break down protein molecules and speeds up digestion, it is generally considered safe for lactating mothers. Some postpartum moms may have trouble digesting protein and this is a safe option, otherwise there is nothing specific ingredients for lactating moms use only.TASTE – SWEETNESSI use whey protein in my protein smoothies as it settles better than soy for myself. I have a couple Whey protein brands that are my go to, that are vanilla flavored and low to no sugar. I have been adding this to my chocolate peanut butter banana protein smoothies.This one has stevia as a no sugar sweetener, I actually like stevia I know some people aren’t a fan of the after taste which has never bothered me much. This baby blues protein has added Vanilla flavour but I couldnt taste it as much because Im tasting more sweetness as there is A LOT of stevia, it is too sweet for my liking as I normally add only a half banana for sweet. My niece likes sweet things but the Stevia after taste was too much for her as someone who’s never had Stevia.RECOMMENDATION – QUALITYOverall this did seem very fresh and high quality, seemed less processed by its color and consistency. And its nice to have the added digestive enzymes, though It had too much Stevia sweet and after taste for our liking. But if you want a sweet sugar free protein powder thats of high quality, with digestive enzymes this would be a win for the price.
