Like an Epsom salt bath without the water
For kids? Okay, maybe they need massages, but for me? Yes. This stuff is nice. Used it after working out on serious weight. Slept very well and it seemed to help ease the muscles for a nice recovery. I imagine kids would like it as well, but adults love it. Apparently this is from an ancient source of magnesium salt beneath the Netherlands that is supposedly 100M+ years old but never exposed to any pollution, thus has no trace arsenic, as other magnesium generally has. The thought of putting something that old on/in my body (via dermal absorption) is rather cool to me. It’s not oily and doesn’t really seem to be “oil” per se, but goes on like water. I had no residue. There was a reaction of a slight sting on the back of my neck, but I just wiped it off with a wet towel and the stinging went away. I had no other reactions, and it does say that applying in sensitive areas can cause stinging. My neck had just been shaved earlier in the day, so it was more sensitive. Everywhere else had no problems. I like. I’ll use again. I usually use magnesium via both pills (magnesium glycenate) and occasional Epsom salt baths (Epsom salt is magnesium salt), but this was a nice, direct to muscle application that felt like it actually worked well.

Gentle Relief
I’ve been using the Asutra Kids Magnesium Oil Spray, and it’s wonderfully soothing. It helps my child relax before bed and eases muscle tension. The pure Zechstein Seabed magnesium feels gentle and effective. Highly recommend!

Convenient but maybe not effective
This spray is a convenient way to apply magnesium for kids but I’m not sure how effective it is. I couldn’t personally tell a difference with sleep quality. The formula does sting a bit so I can tell it has magnesium in it. Some seems to rub off on clothes or sheets so I don’t know how much magnesium you are actually absorbing from it. I would say it is worth a shot for sleep/magnesium support, especially for kids but may be something you have to use a while to notice any benefits.

Helps with knee pain from meniscus tear, nonirritating on sensitive skin.
It says this is oil but it is very light, not greasy, and absorbs quickly. There’s no scent and it doesn’t irritate my extremely sensitive skin.I had a lateral meniscus tear over a decade ago, had surgery then, recently, hurt my knee multiple times. I’ve been dealing with the pain for about 2 years, steroid shots stopped working 6 months ago and then I fell on my knee twice. I sprayed this on my knee and the pain became much better. There’s still pain but with enough improvement that I would buy this again.

Not just for the kids, chalky feeling though
I have been using this magnesium spray for the past few weeks and I like it a lot but it’s not perfect. I have been using it on my legs mainly since I get tightness and cramps inn my legs often. I spray this on after a shower or before bed usually. The spray a pattern is nice and doesn’t create a mess. I spray a few times and then rub it in by hand. The magnesium spray absorbs quick into my skin so you can hop in bed after a couple minutes without worrying about getting it all over your sheets. I have noticed that I do not wake up feeling as tight after using the spray regularly for a few days. I sometimes forget about it.The bottle is large and after 3 months of use I haven’t used a significant amount of it. This bottle should last quite a while for me!After I rub it in I typically wash my hands because I have noticed the spray leaves a slight chalky feeling and I am picky with textures and how things feel. I have noticed my legs also get that same feeling sometimes.

Great For Relieving Nighttime Leg Cramps!
I’m a lifelong athlete, now in my late 50s, and I still train hard at the gym every day, as I have done since my late teens. I started getting these absolutely horrible leg cramps at night, like I would have to get up and do the zombie lurch to the bathroom to try to get my legs to relax without waking my husband. It kind of freaked me out because they were excruciating, despite my high pain tolerance (my dentist loves me because I can get fillings without Novocain, lol!)After doing some research, I learned that nighttime leg cramps are common among older athletes and are often linked to magnesium deficiency. I started taking magnesium supplements, and the incidence of leg cramps diminished greatly, with only the occasional episode. When I saw this Asutra Kids Magnesium Oil Spray, I thought this might be just the thing to eliminate the cramps completely. I didn’t know that magnesium came in a topical form. I started applying this magnesium oil to my lower legs at night. The application is very easy; you spray it on and rub it in. It says it stings, but I barely noticed anything. Maybe tingling. A high pain tolerance is a blessing, lol! It does make your skin feel grippy, like you used gym lifting chalk, but it doesn’t bother me. I rinse my hands afterward. After a couple of months of taking magnesium supplements and using the Asutra Kids Magnesium Oil Spray at night, I’m happy to say I can barely remember the last time I had any leg cramps; it’s been several weeks. I actually forget to use it sometimes, so I’ve been using it about every other night, and not a lot of it, one or two light sprays per leg. This is an absolute blessing for anyone who gets awful leg cramps at night. I almost forgot that this is for kids; it should be for adults too! I don’t know if it helps with sleep, since I meditate every night and have no trouble sleeping. Actually, it does help with sleep, because I’m not awakened by the dreaded leg cramps anymore! Excellent product, and the 4-oz bottle lasts a long time. For the pain relief and uninterrupted sleep, it’s priceless. A must-try natural solution for leg cramps.

Disappointing Results for Kids’ Sleep and Relaxation
The Asutra Kids Magnesium Oil Spray is marketed as a gentle topical option sourced from the pure Zechstein Seabed to help children wind down, support better sleep, and soothe growing muscles. The 4 oz bottle is easy to spray and absorbs without greasiness or strong odor, which is a plus for bedtime routines. However, after consistent use on my child’s feet and legs before bed, there was no noticeable improvement in sleep quality or relaxation—nights were just as restless as before. Additionally, it caused a slight stinging sensation on the skin, which was uncomfortable for a kid and made application a bit of a battle. At this price point for only 4 ounces, it doesn’t feel like good value, especially when cheaper alternatives or simple magnesium baths seem to work better without the irritation. Unfortunately, this one didn’t deliver the expected benefits. 2 stars.

Time will tell if it works
If you have a child that is sensitive to pain or has sensitive skin, you may want to avoid this due to a potential for stingy that lasts longer than you’d like. One of the things my dentist said was to try magnesium before bed to reduce teeth grinding. Not sure if this will help that but it can’t hurt! It seems to spray fine and rub in all right. Feels like a reasonable size for the price
