I ordered this thinking it was mostly an astaxanthin supplement with some common eye-support ingredients added in. The Amazon listing mentions astaxanthin, lutein, zeaxanthin, black currant extract, and DHA, which all made this sound pretty straightforward.Then I got the bottle and read the actual Supplement Facts panel.This is a much broader 16-in-1 formula than the listing summary makes clear. The label includes the expected eye-support ingredients, but it also includes saffron extract, grape seed extract, beta-carotene, L-tyrosine, vitamin E, zinc, copper, selenium, B vitamins, soy-based carrier ingredients, and grape seed oil. That doesn’t automatically make it bad, but it does make it something I would not treat like a basic eye vitamin.For me personally, I take prescription blood pressure medication and I manage a few health-related issues where supplement ingredients matter, so I decided to pause before taking this. That is not me saying the product is unsafe. It is me saying the actual label has enough going on that I want to be careful before adding it to my daily routine.The softgels look fine, the bottle is clearly labeled once you have it in hand, and the 75-day supply is nice. My issue is that the Amazon ingredient summary is much shorter than the actual formula on the bottle. With supplements, that matters.If you are taking medications, managing blood pressure, on hormone therapy, watching clotting or hematocrit issues, or avoiding soy-derived ingredients, I would strongly suggest reading the actual bottle label before using this and checking with a pharmacist or doctor if needed.This may be a good supplement for the right person, but it is not as simple as the listing made it sound. When it comes to reviewing nutritional supplements, I can only provide objective feedback about the packaging, along with some high-level side-effect comments. Please bear in mind that everybody is unique/different. Personal experiences will vary.The product was delivered the very next day after ordering. As I get older, my eyesight is weakening, and my skin is becoming thinner and more prone to cracking/bleeding. This nutritional supplement contains many ingredients that are allegedly good for those symptoms. After 1 week of taking 1 daily tablet following my lunch, I’ve seen ZERO negative effects. However, I’ve yet to realize if it’s having any positive effects as well. I expect positive effects may take several months before I realize improvements.Regarding the packaging, I feel very confident that this product is as safe as it can be. The bottle was thoroughly shrink-wrapped. Beneath the cap was a tamper-proof foil seal which was sealed air-tight across the opening of the bottle. The gelcaps themselves are about the size of a Micro-SD card, which I’ve put into the photo for scale.
