I wanted to add an Astaxanthin supplement to help with joint health. These are small gummy bears about the size of the ones from the movies. They have a berry flavor that is nice and not too sweet. They are listed as being sugar free and they are not overly sweet but they do have a sweetness to them. The gummy itself is soft and easy to chew without being too sticky and can be chewed and swallowed easily. Each gummy lists 12mg of Astaxanthin (Haematococcus pluvialis microalgae), which is a single serving. The product carries a GMP cert (which I look for on all my supplements) and is vegan and non-GMO. I do have a couple of notes about these:1. This supplement has many ingredients, so you are getting more than just Astaxanthin. OK, if you want the other ingredients but harder to control individual dosages.2. I do wish there was more product info about where the product is manufactured. It says they use Astaxanthin sourced from Hawaii, but there is no other info.3. I could not find the other ingredients list anywhere. So other than the listed supplements, I am not sure what other ingredients are included. I was very interested in what type of sweetener is used.I can’t speak to the effectiveness as it usually takes a bit of time to see results from supplements and everyone has to evaluate effectiveness for themselves. The price is OK for a 30 day supply, but I will stick to a simple Astaxanthin supplement, without all the other things and one that has more information available about the manufacturing and other included ingredients.
