Seems comparable to a more expensive brand
My husband ordered this to replace the same type of supplement we have been taking for a long time. The good: It has the same ingredient in same dosage as the much more expensive Hawaiian Astaxanthin that we have been buying at Costco, for twice the price. It looks and smells just like the Costco product. The not so good: This product is made in China, so I really don’t know what is in it. The other product is actually produced in Hawaii. I realize many of the supplements out there are probably produced in China as well. So, who knows if one is really better than another. I tend to trust Costco, so I will probably stick with their product. I took off the one star for the China factor only.

The listing says it is made with Coconut oil but it is NOT. It is made with sunflower seed oil which is not a healthy oil. No returns (even though the description was misleading) which means this is $$ going in the trash.

I absolutely love astaxanthin supplements and serums! It is amazing for glowing and even toned skin, undereye circles, and does wonders for my eczema. When I discovered astaxanthin, all my eczema disappeared for the first time in my life. Some products are better than others. I used this item in the past and loved it. I tried another brand of astaxanthin and while it worked, it didn’t work as well as this one as some of my eczema came back. I was excited to receive this item to review it. It it a small red capsulized pill, that is easy to swallow, has no taste, and has no smell. It works so well that the value for the money is outstanding. This is a powerful antioxidant and I cannot say enough good things about it.

Easy to swallow, softgel capsules.
These Astaxanthin softgel capsules are shaped into soft, easier-to-swallow capsules with a very slightly sweet coating which makes taking them easy. Their recommended dose is 3 daily.Don’t do what I did and bite into the soft capsules. That isn’t great tasting.Capsules state that they are vegan and non-GMO in origin (from a microalgae source) and I presume this refers to the capsule shell too, though I prefer to see the source of the gelatine shell in the ingredients list (or at least a mention that it is vegan gelatine to reassure me this isn’t an oversight). There product page also mentions that purity is assured through third-party testing, though there is no mention of where I can confirm this with the third party (some other brands are starting to state which lab has certified/tested the quality), but this isn’t present.One month of taking the supplements is perhaps too short to objectively confirm whether these capsules are making a difference, but (purely subjectively) my skin feels healthy and I’m hoping it will contribute to fewer wrinkles in the long run!
