So Far, So Good
This seems like it might be a good quality L-Methylfolate.- Capsules are very small and easy to swallow- No odd aftertaste or ill effects so far- Price/Value is not very good; price is high compared to other L-methyfolate products- Unfortunately there’s no FDA, GMP, or NSF stamp on the label but the product description does claim 3rd party lab testing (I haven’t yet seen a COA however)I haven’t had any problem taking these, but I’m only giving 3 stars for a) high price, and b) until I have a chance to view a 3rd party lab test COA from the company for this product. If/when I receive that, I’ll revise my review accordingly.

Nice quantity and a good amount of Methylfolate (15mg), but pricier than some.
This review is for: L-Methylfolate 15mg (2 Bottles) – 180 Capsules – Professional Strength Active Methyl Folate – 5-MTHF Supplement – Non GMO, Gluten Free, No FillersI have a variation of the MTHFR gene called homozygous c677t. There are two different “bad” variations. I have one of each bad variation from each parent. This is the worst combination, so my body is only able to detox about 10% of what it’s supposed to. That means all the bad stuff like toxins, but also stuff you wouldn’t think about like preservatives, colorings, and vitamins that I can’t assimilate. To metabolize B vitamins, I need the methylated forms of them. Otherwise they build up in my system, don’t do anything good, and can cause problems.Taking 15mg L Methylfolate helps me to not build up harmful levels of homocysteine in my body.Taking off one star because of the current price which equates to $0.49 per capsule. The other methylfolate that I take (which also has other B vitamins, so it’s like a B Complex with all methylated B versions) is only $0.22 per capsule.Hope this is helpful.

Important supplement, but spendy here. Can find metyl folate much cheaper elsewhere
Since I need to take large doses of methyl B12, I have been told it is imporrant to also take some folate as well. This product provides a simple, and very easy way to take folate in its methyl form which is needed for homocysteine regulation along with methyl B12. Problems with either methyl folate or methyl B12 can wreck havoc over time.People are aware of the MTHFR defect that can make one deficient in methyl folate. Most aren’t aware of the MTR / MTRR defects that can affect methyl B12. Taking methyl folate can mask a B12 deficience, whether from diet, poor absorption, or functional such as from MTR/MTRR defects, so having this monitired by a physician is important. What I don’t inderstand is why this is do expensive. I found another, much used brand with 25,000 mcg DFE 6,250% I (15 mg L-Methylfolate) 90 capsules, for less than $24. 2 bottles would be about $47, so almost half price of this product. I’m really not sure what justfies the much higher price here.

No Deal. Close to expiry date
But it’s not a deal. The price has been cut by 28%, yet the product’s expiration date is in 6 months.
