Great Ginkgo supplement
As with all supplements, you have to decide whether the ingredients are right for you. I take Ginkgo Biloba anyway, so I wanted to give this product a try. It’s the only ingredient in this formulation.Quality of packaging is superb: the bottle comes fully sealed, inside and out. The bottle is not child-proof and is very easy to open. The pills are regular size and are easy to swallow.Effectiveness: very hard to judge. I take this supplement because I trust the science behind it, but I can’t immediately see any effects, including side effects. I also cannot judge the health benefits, if there are any. It’s really up to each one of us to do our own research.Good value for money – you get 30 days’ worth for about $15 (at the time of order). This is slightly less than what you’d spend in a pharmacy.

I was skeptical that Ginko Biloba could really help improve my memory but I think it did – a little. Since I started taking it I have a little easier recall of recent events. All I can say is give it a try if you are curious, it might just help. Not much else I can say about a supplement.

Concentration a plus!

This seems like a decent extract of ginkgo biloba in soft gel form. The dosage is 2 soft gels per day and there are 60 of these, so a bottle lasts a month. I take less than the suggested dosage though since higher amounts tend to give me a bit of nausea.I’m not noticing any big improvements, but it doesn’t seem to be doing any harm. I don’t have a way to confirm the presence of ginkgo or the strength of the extract, but if I break the soft gel, the oil does seem to have the taste and smell that matches other ginkgo biloba soft gels that I’ve tried.I ordered this on August 1, 2025 and received a bottle that was manufactured in February 2023 with an expiration on February 2026. This gives me only about 6 months to finish this before the expiration date.

Ginkgo has been in use for a very long time for focus, so certainly not a fad, and that allows for a lot of clinical studies. I’m currently using it with ginseng.I’m evaluating the product itself, as someone taking it, without any glowing recommendations of “changed my life” type testimonials.The bottle is dark to shield from light, helping to maintain quality and effectiveness. There is also a desiccant pack in the bottle to maintain dry storage.There are a number of certifications for manufacturing that assure that you aren’t likely to find undeclared ingredients or inaccurate dosage information. A lot of the great bargain items at dollar stores etc may not live up to that. There is value in that assurance and something to look for at your price point.These are easy to take, they just slide right down, and have no off putting odors or flavors. I haven’t noted any side effects and feel comfortable taking this brand and recommending it. It does have a long shelf life but the lot I received has about six months left, which is reasonable, if not optimal freshness. Given it was packaged well, not a deal breaker.

I took one softgel (half the recommended dosage), and within 15 minutes I had a fairly bad headache. Taking 500mg of acetaminophen did nothing to relieve it, and I had to endure the headache for 3 hours. This was the first headache I experienced in more than 20 years. The bottle went into the garbage can.This product could very well work for others, but it clearly wasn’t for me. Normally I’d give such a product one star for the serious side-effect, but the company appears to be legitimate (unlike so many other fly-by-night supplement sellers on Amazon), so it deserves an extra star because my outcome may be the outlier.
