This brand is found in some higher end shopping venues. The bottle was well sealed and clean. I like that it’s easy to read everything with an uncluttered look. The pills are not sticking together at all and there is not any excess powder in the bottle. The expiration date is well into the future. The pills do not smell of chemicals or anything strong or off putting. They are a standard size capsule and I found it easy to swallow. I have loved ones who cannot swallow pills though so I always taste the pills to see if they would be acceptable in applesauce or similar. These are very mild flavor and not objectionable at all. Slightly sweet, actually. These would be very easy to mix with applesauce to take. I also always count the capsules and these had the exact amount of capsules and they did not vary in weight from each other. Very consistent. Too soon to tell if the supplement works for any kind of specific benefit, but they look like quality capsules, clean.

Large capsules hard to swallow; expensive for only one month supply
Amen Prebiotic Fiber Supplement – Organic Acacia & Chicory Inulin Fiber, L-Glutamine, 60 Capsules (ASIN : B0FNLQC4RK) These are prebiotics, so the total fiber content is low, per serving, at only 1 gram of fiber. They use inulin and acacia fibers, which I like because they are gentler on my stomach than other types of soluble fiber. They do not contain any of the microorganisms of other probiotic formulas. I think these are rather expensive for just a 30 day supply. In addition, the capsules are large and very hard for me to swallow.

I appreciate that there are two tamper-evident seals on the bottle – plastic wrap around the neck of the bottle and an additional foil seal over the top of the bottle. The product also seems very fresh, with an expiry date is about 3 years out.The capsules seem to be of pretty average size and are easy for me to swallow. I prefer capsules over tablets because they don’t taste like anything and I find them easier to swallow. I cannot stand the grittiness and powdery residue/aftertaste of tablets, and as much as I love supplements in gummy form, I know the added sugar isn’t good for my health.I am always on the lookout for products that could aid in digestion and improve gut health – and I like the idea of a prebiotic fiber. For me, these may be a little too strong/effective, because I do experience some mild stomach cramping and nausea with these. I do not feel this is a fault of the product though. To me, it means the fiber is working as it should.
