This works well , real niacin can be hard to find.
This is real niacin that is priced well.Niacin is nothing more than vitamin B3 but has a ton of uses from depression to more energy to liver health.I personally use niacin coupled with MSM ( a joint supplement) on an empty stomach to serve as an internal tick repellent.MSM is sulfur, ticks hate sulfur, when taken with real niacin the niacin tends to bring the blood closer to the skin also bringing the MSM along with it, after doing this for a while you have an internal tick repellent instead of spraying or rubbing lotions on your skin which can have all kinds of bad things in them as well.If you want to do this make sure you get real niacin, the non flush niacin doesn’t work.. it’s rare anymore to find real niacin in grocery stores, you mainly have to get it online these days so get this brand, it’s priced right, works well and is in easy to swallow capsules.

No Noticeable Effects – Feels Ineffective and Misleading
I’m very disappointed with this niacin supplement from Amazing Formulas. These are 500mg capsules, which is a high dose—more of a therapeutic level than a casual daily supplement. Anyone who’s taken niacin before knows that at this dosage, especially on an empty stomach, you should experience a noticeable flush—tingling, itching, warm skin—some kind of response. But with this product, I get nothing.I’m not particularly sensitive to supplements, but I’ve taken niacin from other reputable brands at similar doses and always experienced the expected effects. This supplement, on the other hand, gives me no reaction whatsoever—even when taken first thing in the morning without food. That raises red flags for me.I checked the label again to make sure it wasn’t a “flush-free” version (Niacinamide or Inositol Hexanicotinate), but there’s absolutely no indication of that anywhere on the bottle. It’s advertised as regular niacin, but it doesn’t behave like it.Bottom line: I can’t trust the quality or the potency of what’s in these capsules, and I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone looking for an effective niacin supplement.

Generous amount of Niacin capsules which should last 2-3 months
You get 180 capsules at 500 mg each which in reality is enough for months and months. Capsules are easy to swallow and at least for me, don’t upset the stomach.I don’t get a heavy flush, but enough to know something is happening for sure. Nice to have Niacin tablets by themselves instead of mixed in with a bunch of other ingredients.Made in USA so that’s a big plus for me. The amount of capsules you get for the price is outstanding.

Would recommend niacinamide instead to prevent niacin flushes
Some research reveals that this supplement is dosed to be noticeably higher than what we normally get through our diet, but lower than what might be prescribed: Regular daily intake is 14–16 mg; therapeutic lipid effects typically require 1,500–2,000 mg/day of nicotinic acid under medical supervision. 500 mg is high relative to RDA and can produce acute effects, but is below typical prescription ranges. In other words, this is not intended as a vitamin supplement, but as a therapeutic.The form of niacin here, Nicotinic acid, is known to cause niacin flushes – other forms, such as niacinamide, don’t. A niacin flush is harmless and painless but still unpleasant. This makes it difficult to recommend this product, given that niacinamide is readily available at a comparable price point.Still, as this supplement seems reasonably priced and good for what it is, I will give it 4 stars overall.

Great Niacin supplement!
I find myself buying more new products all the time from the “Amazing Formulas” brand. I’m glad to now try out their Niacin (which is also known as Vitamin B3). Niacin is great for blood pressure and cholesterol.This is a pretty big bottle! – you receive 180 capsules, with a recommended dose of 1 per day. So that’s a 6 month supply right there. These are 500mg per capsule.I’m also happy to see this product is made is USA, and I trust the “Amazing Formulas” quality.
