The value for the price is amazing – a four month’s supply for less than $10 at the time of this review. Even better, the astaxanthin is suspended / dissolved in MCT oil for better absorption.The capsules are very easy to take. They are small and easy to swallow, with no flavor or aftertaste. The only ingredients are astaxanthin, MCT oil, and the gel capsule, which is very clean. I have tried astaxanthin in the past, but only at 4mg dosage. I stopped taking them because they were expensive and I didn’t really notice a difference. At 12mg this product is noticeably effective, even after just a few weeks. It will take months of consistent use to fully experience skin improvement.

I actually started taking Astaxanthin for the skin health benefits especially for and during sun exposure. I can honestly say, I have had significant benefits with my skin. I can stay in the sun longer now without burning skin. However, I do know my sun exposure limits. As for the claims of reduced wrinkles or age spots, I have a bunch of those so if it helped with reduction, I can’t tell because I have abused my skin with years of sun bathing.I have taken Astaxanthin for several years, although, I haven’t taken this brand very long. I am sure this brand has the same qualities and benefits as all the other brands I have taken through the years. The capsules are very small and easily to swallow. I have not noticed anything differently with my body while taking this brand.Astaxanthin is a fat soluble supplement so it needs to be taken with a meal containing fat. There are many claims as to astaxanthin improving dry eye, possibly lowering LDL cholesterol and reducing triglycerides. I recently had bloodwork done and was pleased with the results. It would be hard to actually state this has lowered my LDL cholesterol or reduced triglycerides because I take other supplements along with consuming a well balanced and healthy diet.There isn’t an actual set dosage of astaxanthin, but research has shown that 4-12 milligrams are beneficial for health. Of course, all of our bodies are different, therefore, experimenting with low dosages and increasing to higher dosages is exactly what I did. Also, if you are on medications, then research your supplements and be careful because some medications can have interactions with Astaxanthin.I am pleased with the price and the ingredients. There isn’t a bunch of fillers in the ingredients. I think we all have to experiment with our own bodies to see what reactions or benefits we may have with any supplement.
