Still skeptical, but so far so good
I was (and still am) highly skeptical about the product. I’m not the type to take supplements, or “miracle cures” or whatever. A friend had been talking about this and I rolled my eyes but they gave me some while we were out drinking so I took them not expecting much.I had gotten to the point of having terrible hangovers even with a few drinks over the course of a whole night, and that night had more than a few. I was surprised that the next day I didn’t feel like I wanted to die. I could certainly tell I had been drinking the night before, I was nowhere near 100%, but I could actually function . Hadn’t really felt that before. But I didn’t know if it was a fluke or not, so I ordered 1 bottle.I’ve used it several times since then, results have been mixed. I think I’ve been better off than I used to.. but I can’t be certain. I figure I’m going to see this bottle through and then maybe I’m going to go without for a bit and try to compare back the other way again.The capsules themselves are a little big, and you’re supposed to take 3 in a sitting, so I have to take them one at a time. They seem to float so that sort of makes it a little easier. You’re also supposed to take 3 more at the end of the night. If you don’t carry a bag or something, it’s kind of annoying to carry 6 of these large-ish pills with you.They’re a little expensive too, but it pales in comparison to cost of even a single drink out a bar, so I don’t mind that much. I suppose you could individually buy all these vitamins and minerals and such but if you’re not already doing that, it seems like a huge pain just to save a few bucks.So overall, these are promising but I’m still evaluating.

I, like a lot of reviews here, had some skepticism about the potential efficacy of taking a pill to prevent a hangover, but the older I get, the more it makes sense to try anything, so I figured why not? In the end, I’m glad I did – I haven’t tried any others, but this brand seems to be the one that a lot of online reviews say is their top choice, so figured it’s a good place to start.It’s worth calling out that I don’t think anything will completely prevent or remove the downside to a night of drinking. That said, these do seem to make a difference – as some other reviews call out, you still know you drank the night before, but with a solid 8 hours + taking these as per directions (3 before drinking, 3 after), I find that I generally do feel better on average. Anecdotally, as per my fitness wearable, my heart rate will generally be elevated the entire night after drinking by anywhere from 10-30 BPM more than my normal resting heart rate, and not go below 40BPM – whereas on normal nights, I’ll get anywhere from 10-20 notifications that my heart rate went sub-40 for sustained periods (sleep average is usually 37-39bpm). On nights of drinking where I take this supplement, my heart rate is still higher for the majority of the night (roaming around in the 60s), but by early morning it’s back to where it normally should be, with a few notifications of going sub 40. Which more or less holds up to the earlier assertion I made that while you’re better off with this, it’s unlikely you’ll get as good of sleep as you would by simply not drinking – but where’s the fun in that? And so if you’re looking to still enjoy a few drinks and some sleep, this is as good as I’ve found so far.It’s worth highlighting that I don’t generally drink more than 5-6 drinks, so I can’t tell you how much of an impact this will have on drinking substantially more, but for a five-to-six drink evening, again, these seem to help in terms of being able to wake up and feel better. Hope this helps; I’ll try a few more bottles, and also give a shot to some other similar supplements to see what the differences are.

Wow! This Stuff Works!!
We are a late 50’s couple who likes to drink but unfortunately we drink half as much now and feel twice as bad as we did in our younger days. We had a trip to Vegas and I was worried. Found this product with great reviews and decided to try it.At home, 6 drinks in a day will have me feeling bad for 36 hours. In Vegas we probably drank 15 drinks in a day and we both woke up feeling 90%, ready to blast the next day. All was perfect in this scenario for three days. On the fourth day I drank enough to where I forgot to take my night pills. Woke up in a bit of a haze, but not necessarily feeling bad. Took my pills immediately and within 3 hours I was fine and good to go for our last day!I recommend that you takes exactly as directed. In addition to no hangover, I had the best sleep in Vegas in probably 10 years. Usually I sleep fitfully, full of feeling unwell and anxiety. This time, no such issues! 100% will buy again.

Clinically Effective, Non-Proprietary Formula
I’m in my mid-40s, and if I’m not careful, enjoying a night out can wreck my entire next day. I did a little research on hangover harm reduction, and there are a lot of products out there containing dihydromyricetin. Unfortunately, most of them conceal the amount of under a claim of “proprietary blend” confidentiality. The clinically effective dose of DHM is not a trade secret, however, so any product that tries to hide its dosage is simply skimping out on active ingredients.Afterdrink tells you exactly what’s in it, how much you’re getting, and the result is: it works. I bought a bottle for my wife and I to try on vacation in Mexico, and it allowed us to enjoy beers on the beach and cocktails with dinner and still spring out of bed the next morning, ready for more. It’s not a miracle product. I still felt like I had been out drinking the night before, and we both needed an afternoon nap. The hangover was not eliminated, but reduced from catastrophe to mere inconvenience. Well worth the price and definitely worth buying again.

Significantly reduces hangover side effects – but you MUST follow the directions!
As a person in their mid 40’s hangovers from drinking have become increasingly severe. I’ve tried a few products to help reduce the hangover side effects and Afterdrink is the most effective one I’ve used so far. It doesn’t totally eliminate the hangover but significantly reduces the side effects – mild headache that I wouldn’t need to take ibuprofen for and general tiredness. The key here is that you MUST follow the directions. Take 3 pills before your first drink and 3 after your last. If you forget this, the effectiveness is greatly reduced. This is really the only improvement I would like to see from this product. I can always remember to take the pills before I start drinking but am often too drunk to remember to take the pills after…

Definitely working for me!
I have now used this product as directed on four occasions. As time has passed, I have found myself getting bad hangovers even after having only one or two drinks, which has been frustrating.I am not a hugely heavy drinker, and I used these on evenings when I had four alcoholic drinks — pretty much most of a bottle of wine, or half a six pack and a cocktail type of evenings. Woke up with no ill effects at all.The best part has been just being able to relax and know if I’m going to be out with friends who choose great wines, or at a brewery tasting event, I don’t have to worry and strategize about my intake, or miss out on the fun at the event because I can’t take the after effects.Highly recommend for people who do this sort of drinking, at least!

Solid formula and HELPS
As someone who has taken similar pills in the past, this does it. There are some nights I mix and couldn’t care less of how much I had been drinking and these pills prevented a terrible hangover since I am very susceptible to hangovers as I am to motion sickness since I was a kid. Smell is fine, my sleep quality tends to be fine. I’ve used them before going to work the next day and on days where I have nothing to worry about. I don’t feel groggy, my memory is fine and this is supposed to HELP, not eliminate. I am starting to be way more mindful of my drinking and regardless will take this since it helps the body PHYSICALLY, more than anything. I will take it if I ever exceed three drinks.
