Great quality, Sheer zinc oxide powder
This is an exceptional zinc oxide powder. It is micronized, non-nano, so it is less whitening than many others I have used; as a cosmetic and skincare maker, I have tried many! The powder is a little looser and dustier than other zinc powders since it is micronized, please use caution and respiratory protection when handling! As such, it doesnt feel as dry and chalky. This is accessible and shipping was quick, price fair. At 14% of my skin cream formulation, this is exceptionally less whitening/opaque than the average non-nano, non micronized that I have compared to. It doesn’t gather and sink into pores like those do and feel almost like a dry, fine grit under your fingers upon rubbing in. It is smooth and spreads very evenly. I have tested this in the same base formula for an spf and it feels/looks remarkably different at the same 14% of the formula. It comes in a sealed resealable outer bag with the zinc oxide powder contained in a thick plastic bag on the inside that needs to be cut open. I simply roll it down an zip the bag closed for storage. Highly recommend this powder for spf formulations or where a sheer zinc oxide is desired.

This was a part of a recipe for making your own suntan lotion. Am extremely pleased and have been using all summer with out once getting sunburned. I like it because I know what I am putting on my body. Got the recipe from Nicole Apeian who is a herbalist and produces some great books on herbal healing as well and tinctures and salves.
